The IR Research Day
The IR Research Day is out flagship event that takes place each year. At the conference, we host leading academic interventional radiologists and researchers to deliver talks, run interactive workshops and mentor the next generation of IR researchers.

IR RESEARCH DAY 2023
The 2023 event was held on Friday 24th November at the Royal College of Radiologists in London.
Featured Speakers included Dr Isabel Newton (University of California San Diego), Dr Ross Tapping (Oxford University Hospitals), Professor Mark Little (Royal Berkshire Hospitals), Professor Tze Wah (Leeds Teaching Hospitals), and Dr Ella Hudson (University of Leeds).
IR RESEARCH DAY 2022
The 2022 event was held on Friday 25th November at the Royal College of Radiologists in London.
Keynote speakers included Dr Jon Bell, Dr Conrad von Stempel, Dr Ganesh Vigneswaran, Ms Hannah Warren and Dr Raman Uberoi.
The pitching competition saw 5 junior doctors / trainees present their idea to run as a the next national project. Congratulations to Dr Oliver Llewellyn (IR Trainee, Edinburgh) on winning the competition!
IR RESEARCH DAY 2021
The first ever research day took place virtually in November 2021.
The virtual conference hosted 10+ academics from across the world to share their experiences in academic interventional radiology. The event hosted a total of 70 live attendees and received excellent feedback. Sessions are available to view on the IR Juniors Youtube Channel.
